Drew Prescott sketch

Meet Drew Prescott

Some characters arrive fully formed; others grow with you over time. Drew has always been the latter. He’s the kind of character who doesn’t shout for attention; he simply stands where he is, steady and unassuming, until you realize the whole story has quietly arranged itself around him.

In my notes, I describe Drew as:

“Reborn in Faerie legacy. Diplomat by nature, leader by prophecy. Power radiates in his words. Humbles the proud. Haunted by sacrifice. Carries the fate of the world. A weapon unto himself.”

Those lines came from a moment when I was trying to understand what truly drives him. Drew isn’t the loudest or the strongest. His power isn’t in force; it’s in conviction. He leads because he must, not because he wants to. And that tension between calling and cost is what makes him human, even as Faerie reshapes him.

Writing Drew has reminded me that leadership often looks like quiet endurance. It’s the willingness to carry weight without complaint, to speak truth without cruelty, and to keep moving even when the path is steep. Drew is haunted by sacrifice, but he’s also defined by hope. That balance is what makes him who he is.

As I’ve been preparing PR boxes and organizing materials for the months ahead, I’ve found myself thinking about Drew’s steadiness. There’s something grounding about returning to the characters who started this journey with me. They remind me why I began writing these stories in the first place.

Thank you for walking this path with me. I’ll share another character reflection soon: each one has shaped this world in their own way.
